PNC Foundation’s first year of partnership was designed to benefit more than 500 students across Miami, with an initial focus on Overtown. The original page reported more than 100 active students and a 90% assessment average across participating schools and afterschool programs at launch.
Launch partners include Touching Miami with Love in Overtown, Dorsey, and West Homestead; Overtown Optimist Club; and Urgent Academy in Overtown.
By February 2025, the first cohort averaged 51 new words learned and an 82% class assessment score. A couple of standout students had average quiz scores of 100%. These February figures are a separate update from the initial 90% assessment average.
