CLEVELAND CAVALIERS LAUNCH LITERACY INITIATIVE
Rhymes With Reason Partnership Rewards Students for Educational Excellence
The Cleveland Cavaliers care about their young fans’ futures, and are partnering with educational technology company Rhymes With Reason to make a positive impact. Learn More
Rhymes With Reason is an edtech app that elevates students’ vocabulary, reading levels, and confidence through the power of music. Now, thanks to the Cavs, 250 Cleveland-area students will have access to the effective, award-winning program.
Young learners in grades seven through ten will have the opportunity to earn prizes and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities with the Cavs as they earn achievement badges in Rhymes With Reason’s literacy learning modules. To kick off the partnership, the Cavs have invited students from each of the four participating Ohio schools and youth organizations to their late November game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Partner organizations include the Kenneth W. Clement Boys Leadership Academy, E. Prep Cliffs (Breakthrough Public Schools), and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (Sandusky) and Cleveland (John Adams Teen Center).
PARTNERSHIP IN ACTION
The Cleveland Cavaliers X Rhymes with Reason partnership debuted at E Prep Cliffs
featuring Cavs player George Niang, arena host Ahmaad Crump, and DJ Steph Floss.
