The Atlanta Hawks and QuikTrip are helping Atlanta youth engage in physical and academic development with their Community Court Tour that will feature Rhymes With Reason as a collaborative partner to assist students with essential vocabulary and literacy building.
Rhymes With Reason is an award-winning educational technology program that leverages popular music to assist students with word acquisition and development of literacy skills. Thanks to the Hawks, over 80 students at Ron Anderson Recreation Center and Bessie Branham Park Rec Center will be able to access the program and unlock exclusive Hawks prizes based on their learning achievements.
“We at QuikTrip are incredibly proud to team up with the Hawks again for the second consecutive summer, as we believe in the power of youth literacy and the importance of reading,” said Aisha Jefferson, Corporate Communications Manager for QuikTrip.
“By supporting programs like the 2024 Community Court Tour, we are not only promoting the benefits of physical activity and developing character, but also nurturing a love for learning among Atlanta's youth. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of these young individuals and empower them to reach their full potential.”
Rhymes With Reason is thrilled to be a key partner in this endeavor.
Since the program's launch on June 11, 2024 students have earned weekly prizes for their performance. The cohort has exceeded the quiz proficiency goal of 70% and there have been 3 students who have learned over 100 new terms in just 3 weeks!
